AIDA Courses - From Discovery to Mastery

AIDA courses are internationally recognised and guide you through your freediving progression, step by step. Each level combines theoretical knowledge, technical skills, in-water practice and safety procedures, helping you develop a more comfortable, informed and independent practice. At Moorea, we take a progressive and supportive approach to learning, helping you understand your body, listen to your sensations and develop your skills while keeping the enjoyment of being in the water at the heart of the experience.

Odyssey - Between Ocean and Lagoon

Half-day · 2 sites Prerequisites: Introduction to freediving or a freediving certification. Spend a half-day at sea and make the most of your time in the water. Depending on your preferences and the conditions of the day, the two immersions take place at different sites and can focus on exploration, line freediving, or a combination of both. Discover the richness of Moorea’s lagoon and open ocean, moving at the pace of the ocean and its inhabitants. Turtles, rays, sharks and more... Every outing is unique, with its own encounters and surprises.

Coaching – Personalised Guidance

Duration: 2.5 hours Prerequisites: For certified freedivers or those who have completed an introduction session. Each session begins with a conversation with your instructor to understand your expectations, identify areas for improvement and define the focus of the session together. Technique, relaxation, equalisation, breathing, comfort or depth: each session is fully adapted to your needs. You will then receive personalised coaching in the ocean, in the exceptional setting of Moorea’s lagoon. A tailored approach to help you progress, at your own pace.

Underwater Exploration – Experience the Ocean Differently

Duration: 2.5 hours Prerequisites: Introduction to freediving or a freediving certification. Dive into the silence of Moorea’s lagoon and explore the reef on a single breath, meeting its underwater inhabitants along the way. More than a dive, this is a contemplative experience, an opportunity to observe, feel and connect with the ocean, away from the pursuit of performance.

Introduction to Freediving – First Freedive

Duration: Half-day Prerequisites: No previous experience required. Discover the fundamentals of freediving and experience your first underwater immersion in the lagoon of Moorea, in a small group. Learn to relax, breathe mindfully and enjoy your time underwater in a safe and supportive environment designed to help you let go. All equipment is included.
